I specialize working with folks experiencing challenging life transitions or seasons, body image concerns, post-partum (or maternal mental health) challenges. As well as folks navigating identity work, people-pleasing, and complex trauma.
Some would describe me as compassionate, thoughtful, and understanding. Others would describe me as comedically well-timed, direct, and interactive. There is a time and place for “mhm” therapy, but ultimately I believe laughter is a vital part of the healing process. You want a genuine relationship with your therapist and I promise to be a human being first. That means I’ll bring my real, authentic self to our sessions, so you can feel totally safe bringing yours.
I believe that psychological suffering rarely happens in a vacuum.. it’s often the result of unresolved childhood wounds, environmental and systemic stressors, a dysregulated nervous system or feeling completely out of alignment with who you truly are. I work from the belief that what you're experiencing right now makes sense given your history and the world we live in. My goal is to help you process past hurts and heavy emotions, figure out how those are showing up in your relationships today, and lean into your natural strengths to help you move forward.
You might already have a lot of insight into your struggles. You can analyze your patterns, explain your history, and understand exactly 'why' you do the things you do—but you still don't feel any better. That is because we can't always think our way out of emotional pain. In our work together, we will move beyond just talking and analyzing. We will gently shift the focus from your head to your body, helping your nervous system actually process and release the stress, trauma, and heavy emotions that logic alone can't fix.
We might work well together if you navigating a massive life shift and feel completely unmoored, you are ready to take a deeper look at your struggles (even if it feels a little intimidating), you appreciate a therapist that will gently call you out, laugh with you, and help you find your footing again.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can usually find me drinking a Pink Drink or Iced Chai attempting to keep up with three kiddos and Pickles (our family dog).
